Questo è il Monumento ai Caduti gualdesi durante il primo conflitto mondiale.

Da tutti i paesani è conosciuto come "Il Milite ignoto"
La parte più rappresentativa è sicuramente, la statua al centrodi tutto il monumento, raffigurante un soldato che imbraccia un fucile.
Su entrambi i lati sono elencati i nomi di tutti i gualdesi caduti.

Sopra la testa del soldato si trova la dedica da parte di tutto il Comune di Gualdo Cattaneo ai suoi caduti, poco sopra troviamo, scolpito nel marmo, lo stemma comunale.
A novembre 2010 è stato inaugurato il nuovo monumento o meglio la nuova collocazione del monumento ai caduti. Questo originariamente si trovava in Piazza Umberto I.
Nella seconda metà del Novecento la piazza ha subito delle trasformazioni e con essa anche il monumento assumendo l'aspetto che ha tutt'ora. Dal 2010, dopo lunghi anni di lavori, il Milite Ignoto è stato spostato nel parcheggio del comune (“La Pesa”).

This is the Monument to the Gualdesi Fallen during the First World War.

By all villagers is known as "The Unknown Soldier"
The most representative part is definitely the statue in the center of the whole monument, depicting a soldier carrying a rifle.
On both sides are listed the names of all the fallen gualdesi.

Above the head of the soldier is the dedication by the whole Municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo to his fallen, just above we find, carved in marble, the coat of arms.
In November 2010, the new monument or rather the new location of the war memorial was inaugurated. This was originally in Piazza Umberto I.

In the second half of the twentieth century the square has undergone transformations and with it also the monument assuming the appearance that it still has. Since 2010, after many years of work, the Milite Ignoto has been moved to the parking lot of the municipality ("La Pesa").
